I don't really know what to say about Kiss My Face deodorant. I had high hopes because I love my other Kiss My Face products but I just feel like their deodorant doesn't hold up to the street cred that their other products have. Now I think this is common in the natural deodorant game...let's face it 99% of the people I know who have tried them say that they do not work for them.
I tried the Fragrance Free, Lavender and the Cucumber Green Tea and the results did vary. The Fragrance Free did not work at all. Like within a few hours I felt like I stunk like a compost bin on a hot summers day. I ended up having to carry it around with me all the time so that I could reapply when required. I actually become pretty ninja like applying it on the down low. The Cucumber Green Tea and Lavender performed a bit better but I think that is because the light fragrance helps to mask things so that I don't need to reply as often (I guess this is what all scented deodorants do).
What I like about this product is that it is cheaper than the expensive Secret deodorant I was using before. It also lasts longer (even with the constant reapplication) and is aluminum free.

Note - not all of their deodorants have the same rating. The liquid rock one's are significantly higher so check them out before you buy them.
I am trying out the Lavender fragrance now to see if it is any better so I will update this review when I can say yah or nay.

I have used the Bumble & Bee stick deodorant (this one: http://www.bubbleandbee.com/servlet/the-53/Lemongrass-Rosemary-100-pct--Organic/Detail) and am Meh about it too. Works okay, but not great, and I definitely feel a little "hippie scented" by the end of the day.

ReplyDeleteI have the Kiss My Face Lavender, but like you, find it to be lacking. The best deodorant I've found for myself is the Trader Joe's cotton one.
My husband likes Suave naturals with Aloe (here it comes in a yellow container), but it doesn't work for me.
Have you tried dabbing baking soda onto your clean, dry underarms?
I haven't tried backing soda. Have you found it works? We don't have Trader Joe's here in Canada but I should pick some up next time we are in the US!
